BOB FOX
When he is not performing with The Pitmen Poets or being the newest front man for long-established Folk/Rock band Home Service, Bob Fox can be found singing and playing his Guitar or Accordion in a duo with Jez Lowe or Billy Mitchell (Lindisfarne).
Bob likes to be kept busy and is also a highly-accomplished solo artist. He has performed on the biggest stages and in the smallest of venues but wherever he plays, he is guaranteed to give every show his all. That's why we are delighted to have re-booked him to play for us again at Grayshott Folk Club. You simply cannot keep a good man down.
Bob hails from the North-East and has done the Folk club rounds for many, many years. It seemed only right and proper then, that Director John Tams should cast Bob as "The Songman/Story Teller" in the original (2007) multi Award-winning National Theatre musical drama of Michael Morpurgo's "War Horse". Bob played that part brilliantly for a whole two years between 2011-2013, and was lavished with praise for his outstanding performances. He subsequently played that part in the highly acclaimed and record-breaking UK, Ireland and South Africa touring version 2013-2015 and reprised it again in the 10th Anniversary Tour in 2017-2019.
Tonight Bob will be plain, ordinary Bob Fox but you'll discover;
there is nothing plain or ordinary about him.
